“Meet my who at the what?”
Don’t worry I’ll explain who and what a Lifestyle Change Coordinator is in just a moment, but if you haven’t come across the name Life Starts at 50 before it’s probably because you knew it as the Retirement Living Expo (RLE) instead, but that isn’t the only change this year.
Change of Venue:
The first big change (apart from the name) is that the Life Starts at 50 Expo outgrew their old home. While the B Shed in Fremantle was a fantastic venue, as it was close to shops, the cappuccino strip and major public transport options (not to mention some of the best fish and chips in WA – IMO) – there just wasn’t space to include additional stalls and service providers. So this year the Expo will be located at the Silver Jubilee Pavilion at the Claremont Show Grounds.
More Information Available:
The Silver Jubilee Pavilion is much larger than Fremantle’s B Shed. Having additional space means the organisers were able to approach people and businesses that missed out showcasing their products and services last year, and offered them a space. Consequently there will be close to 100 exhibitors showcasing products and services – we’re just wondering if 2 days is going to be enough to see everything and speak to everyone you’d like to speak to.
Talk Schedule:
In addition to the additional expo exhibitors at the Life Starts at 50 Expo this year, there is a calendar of talks happening over the 2 days. NE Solutions Jay Shaw will be sharing her decluttering secrets (amongst other things) in the Decluttering and Downsizing to a Happier Lifestyle Sessions – so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to take in the talks, and don’t forget to bring along a notebook and pen to take some notes.
At the beginning I told you that you would be meeting your Lifestyle Change Coordinators at the Expo. If you are thinking about downsizing to a smaller home, or moving into one of the many retirement living options that are available – but have been putting it off because of the work and the stress involved, we strongly suggest making time to come and talk to the team.
